WoW Item Upgrades
Item upgrades, also referred to as "upping", are items or enchantments that can be used to improve the performance of weapons and armor. These upgrades can increase the gauge of an item by a specified amount of points. Their cost increases according to their rarity.
A perfectly made version of this armor is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community for its ability to minimize the amount of damage a weapon can cause.
Type-restricted upgrades
The upgrading process is an essential aspect of the crafting process. Upgrades can improve an item's stats or make it stronger, or even give it an additional benefit. They can also alter the appearance of an item. While certain upgrades are universal, other have specific rules when applied to weapons or armor. A bad upgrade can destroy a weapon that was otherwise excellent, and could even render it useless.
As a rule it is possible to upgrade an item of equipment up to the level of its most advanced counterpart. You can only upgrade helms up to the highest level. Weapons can be upgraded to the equivalent level of a sword. This does not increase the weapon's power of damage, but it can decrease its trade value.
To upgrade an item you need to spend flightstones and crests. The amount of each depends on the level of the item and slot. For instance upgrading a sword will cost more flightstones than upgrading bracers or a cloak. There are also discounts on the amount of flightstones and crests needed to upgrade an item.
The diamond-shaped indicator on the item is filled when it is upgraded. Each step raises Tier level by one-third. The highest Tier level is Tier 3. Depending on the type of item it could require a different amount of upgrades to reach this point. It is important to note that any procedure that could be used to mount a disk shouldn't be performed during an upgrade. In addition, you must ensure that the disk you are upgrading is not used as a system disk.
Enchantment is a feature that allows you to transform white or Common items into rare or blue ones. It can be done at Eleanor's enchantment shop located in the Capital District. This method does not add rune or gem slots to the equipment. However it alters its dimensions. It increases the size of the equipment by the size of a creature two categories smaller, so for example the Blaster Pistol is deemed Small, whereas an Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be applied to any type of equipment. This includes armor, weapons and trinkets. The upgrade components are typically random, but they can also be gathered from completing Side Quests. Universal upgrades are either temporary or permanent and they may overlap with Power-Ups. They may also be branching or linear.
Universal Upgrades start when "internal technology" can give sentient beings new capabilities that are not likely to develop naturally. Examples of internal technology are prostheses or implants. This type of upgrade is different from medical internal technology that is designed to restore the natural capabilities. It is the start of an era that will change civilizations in a fundamental way. The universal upgrade can be an extended and complicated process. The process can be classified into two types: complete success and partial failure.

It's similar to the way that resort upgrades function at Disney and Universal. In the case of WDW it is typically due to operational needs like room availability or overbooking. In the case Universal this could be to relocate guests to a different resort that is open. This is not intended to be rude however it can be unavoidable in the current climate.
Universal upgrades can be applied on any kind of equipment. In addition, they can be applied to multiple items at a time. This makes them more adaptable than other upgrade types. However, this flexibility may create problems when upgrading items in the same gear path because it can increase the level of each item in all pieces in that path.
Prior to performing an upgrade, it is essential to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the existing application files. Then you can install new files by using the GetChildItemRecurse command or Unblock-File. To make sure that your PSU server is functioning properly it is also recommended to perform an initial verification.
Jewels
Jewels are upgrades that can be put into armor, weapons, and other. They provide various stat bonuses and other effects based on the gemstone and reagent that is used to make them. They are available in Golden Chests and Rift Incursions. They can be purchased from a master craftsman for gold or Karma. Jewels can be made using a jewelry table using 5 of the same reagent type and 1 gem to make an item with an upper or lower tier. This is similar to upgrading a stone an instrument for gem crafting.
Jewel tiers are determined by the amount of modifiers they have, with higher-tier jewels having more than lower-tier ones. The primary effect of a gemstone is determined by the tier it is in, and the secondary effect is random and players can make use of luck potions to increase the probability of obtaining better secondary effects.
Like other upgrade components, jewels can be inserted into an item with an appropriate socket to boost it. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both increase power, but a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's strength when attacking. Jewels can be put in all weapon, armor and accessory slots. They can also be used with some exotic trinkets, or lower rarity trinkets that require slots.
Gems are a DM-specific mechanic that can help make items feel special to their owners. By offering a variety of upgrade options jewels let players customize their equipment and find the combination that best suits their needs. They can upgrade their gear by purchasing new gems if they feel that the original set is no longer suitable.
Requirements
The WoW item upgrade system lets players increase the item level of weapons, equipment and trinkets to their current level of item using specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor resources. These upgrades increase the base stats of the item, and some even have special effects (such as Dolphin's Grace, which gives players dolphin-like grace while they swim). These upgrades can be obtained through any upgrader NPC or by salvaging them from items containing them, with different types of items dropping different upgrade components.
The process of upgrading can be a bit complicated however, it's a simple process. First, the player picks the item they wish to upgrade and then click on the Upgrade button. A window will open with the various upgrades available for the item. The window will display the upgrade level, the upgrade type bonus (such Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. item upgrades will be displayed below the bar that displays the upgrade level.
The player will need bring the item to the upgrader, who will explain how to upgrade the item. The player then has to provide the correct currency needed for the upgrade and may be required to supply additional materials should they require it. These requirements are based on the item's level with weapons generally having more stringent requirements than armor.
In addition to the mandatory upgrade components, a lot of upgrade recipes have an 'Acceptable Materials' list. This list outlines what other upgrade components are available on the item, and also includes an indication of whether the item is guaranteed to boost or other effect. It is important to be aware because the value of an upgraded item could vary greatly based on the 'extras' it has, with well rolled gear being worth more than the non-upgraded versions.
The list of upgrade types that require crests or valorstones will be shown separately below the main list. upgrade item and valorstones required depend on the level of the item, with weapon upgrades requiring the most Valorstones.
